Maternal Trimester-Specific Immunity and Responses to Vaccination and Viral Infection

1. RSV

Since 2023, we have studied RSV vaccination during pregnancy, examining transplacental and breastmilk antibody transfer to determine the optimal timing of maternal vaccination, the durability of antibodies, and the duration of infant protection after delivery.

2. COVID-19

We were one of the first labs to examine the effects of maternal SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination on pregnant individuals, placentas, fetal development, and longer-term offspring neurodevelopment.
