Brendan Leo

Brendan graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with a B.A. in Nutritional Biochemistry and Spanish and a minor in Chemistry, and he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. At Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, he supported research investigating the role of the SLC22A5 gene in carnitine transport and colitis development. He has extensive volunteer experience in LGBTQ+ youth programming, hospice, and assisted-living care. On campus, he co-founded CWRU's Club Swim team and served as its risk manager. He also speaks conversational Spanish and studied abroad in Granada, Spain, during his junior spring.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys traveling, swimming, and going to the beach.
