Camilla Salwen
Camilla graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in Biology and Computer Science. As an undergraduate, she conducted research on microbial community dynamics in Lake Champlain, combining genomic and computational approaches to complete an honors thesis investigating microbial interactions. She also worked as a summer research intern at MGH, where she contributed to vaginal microbiome research, studying microbial resistance in recurrent bacterial vaginosis. In addition to research, she served as a biology TA and volunteered at the hospital in Middlebury. She is excited to join the Edlow Lab as a research technician and contribute to research focused on maternal-fetal and women's health.
Outside of the lab, Camilla works as a sailing instructor and dock staff member. In her free time, she enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible, whether hiking, skiing, sailing, or running!
